We do receive certain repeat questions from our customers, therefore in an effort to make things easier for you we have posted the details of them here.
Q. I want to transfer my domain to you - what are the addresses of your nameservers?
A. The nameserver details are :

Q. How do I enable Frontpage extensions on my account?
A. These are enabled free of charge if required. Just e-mail the support team using our online form with your request.
Q. How do I change my Frontpage password?
A. Open Microsoft FrontPage, then open the FrontPage Web you wish to work on. You have to open the Web directly from the web server, and not your hard drive. In other words, make sure you are opening the site from http://www.yourdomain.com, and not c:\whatever. Once the web is open, click on "Tools" at the top menu, select "Server", then slide your mouse over and then choose one of the following three that relates to what you want to manage:
Administration Home...
Permissions...
Change Password...
All three of the selections relate to the administration of users and passwords within your FrontPage Web(s). Please note, The above directions are for the Microsoft FrontPage 2002. If you are using an older version, the directions will be similar, but not exactly the same.
Q. How do I access my FTP account?
A. Configure your FTP client to connect to ftp.yourdomain.com, with user id: username@yourdomain.com and password: yourpassword, where yourdomain.com is the name of your domain name.
Q. My domain isn't yet registered or hasn't yet transferred to you. How can I access FTP?
A. Use the above syntax of id & password, except connect to the FTP server listed in the e-mail with your account details.
Q. How do I create a sub-domain on my account?
A. This can be done via the control panel. Any customers that do not have this facility enabled on their account, please contact our support team using the online form.
Q. What is bandwidth / data transfer?
A. Data transfer (or bandwidth) is basically the amount of data transferred through your account. If for example you have a page on your website that takes up 1Mb of disk space and 10 people view it, you would have transferred 10Mb of data through your account. The same goes for e-mail and FTP transfers - if 5 people e-mail you a 1Mb attachment then you would have transferred another 5Mb through your account or if you upload 30Mb of files to your site you would have added another 30mb to your monthly data transfer amount. We basically log all data that is transferred in conjunction with your account as we have to pay for data transfer charges ourselves.
Q. How do I access my e-mail via POP3?
A. Configure your e-mail client to connect to mail.yourdomain.com for the incoming (POP3) mail server, with userid: username@yourdomain.com and password: yourpassword.
Q. How do I access webmail?
A. In your browser, open http://yourdomain.com/squirrelmail or /webmail
Q. How can I stop receiving e-mails sent to a certain address, without stopping using the catch-all facility?
A. Just edit the alias of the name you no longer wish to receive any mail from, and forward all mail to the outside address of site_blackhole. Any mail now sent to this alias will never be received, and just disappear.

A. /usr/bin/perl
Q. What is the path to sendmail?
A. /usr/sbin/sendmail
Q. I've forgotten my password!
A. We cannot re-advise you of your password as they are completely encrypted on the servers for added security and cannot be retrieved by any means, even by ourselves. We can however enter a new password for you. In the event that you do forget your password, we will require sufficient verification of your identity.
Q. I've just uploaded a new page or pages to my website, but the old page keeps being displayed. What's wrong?
A. This is another common problem we receive e-mails about. The majority of ISP's nowadays use what is known as transparent caches which operate between you and the Internet and they 'remember' the pages that you have visited recently in order to be able to send them to you more quickly if you re-visit the site in a short amount of time. This is great for general browsing, but a pain for website developers as you get sent the old 'remembered' version of the page and not your newly uploaded one. Pressing <CTRL-F5> should normally force your browser to get the latest version of the page for you.
Q. I've just uploaded a page to my website but I cannot display it. What's wrong?
A. We run Unix servers which are case sensitive. Due to this it is good practice to make sure that all files and images are lower case. Your problem may well be due to the fact that for example, index.html is treated as a completely separate file to Index.html or INDEX.html and the server is only configured to look for the lower case versions as default.
Q. I cannot access my FTP account anymore - what's happened?
A. Please check that you have not installed Frontpage Extensions on your account from within your control panel (UK Servers) or by requesting support enable it (US Servers) as this automatically disables FTP access to the account to avoid corruption of the Frontpage extensions. Please note - this is one of our most common questions/problems!
